Comfort and Care Packs

Our Butt Basket Program provides comfort, care, and practical support for individuals navigating IBD-related and treatment. Whether someone is heading to an infusion appointment or adjusting to life post-op, these kits are designed to help GWGs feel a little more prepared, supported, and less alone during some of the hardest parts of their journey.

 The program runs in twice-annual “drops” – one during Ostomy Awareness Month and one around World IBD Day – helping to not only structure distribution of kits, but also amplify awareness and visibility around IBD and ostomy experiences during key moments in the year.

Our Post-Op Care Packs are designed to keep your supplies organized on-the-go so you never have to worry about an emergency accident or leak again! Many of our members keep these in their car for post-surgery accidents. You can fit a bag change or a spare change of clothes inside!

Guidelines & Recommendations

• Butt Baskets are for women (18+) facing bowel surgeries limited to either ostomy or internal pouches like J-pouches (Kock pouches are not included) or starting an infusion treatment related to their IBD/ostomy.
• You can apply for yourself or a loved one.
• You can only apply once and for ONE of the options.
• If you are applying for a Post-Op Care Pack, the surgery you are having must be within 30-60 days before or after your application.
• Due to the limited number of baskets, we cannot guarantee every applicant will receive one.
• We’ll notify you via email if your application is selected.
