Join us Sunday, August 20th at 10am(pst)/1pm(est) for a moderated group craft activity! Our Crafteroon moderator, Kate Wahlen will lead this session!
This session will be magical themed pointillism!
Pointillism is the practice of applying small strokes or dots of colour to a surface so that from a distance they visually blend together. It can be a fun way to add depth and texture to a piece. Famous artists like Georges Seurat, Henri-Edmond Cross, and Paul Signac used this technique starting in the late 1800’s to create works without having to mix specific colors and instead using the way our brains translate visual color to create the look they wanted. We will be using this technique to add a little magic to our lives.
After a short instruction, we’ll work on our pieces and chat about life. You’re also welcome to work on your own projects or just join us for the camaraderie!
This is a BYOsupplies event and you can grab any items around your home you feel comfortable using!
