I found Girls With Guts while looking for a space within the IBD community that truly centers women’s experiences. It stood out to me as a place where people understand the unique challenges women face when living with debilitating GI conditions and create space for connection and support.
I’ve lived with UC since high school and have spent a lot of time involved with IBD through research and academic medicine. While that work has been really meaningful, I also wanted to give back in a more personal, community-centered way and be part of a space where women’s lived experiences are seen and supported beyond a clinical setting.
I’m currently a senior at UCLA studying biology and working in clinical research focused on IBD and women’s health. Outside of school and research, I love doing nails, fashion, watching video essays, and spending time at home with my cat.
