My name is Gabby. I am 25 years old and originally from Portland, Oregon. I currently live in New York and am getting my masters in public health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

How did you learn about Girls With Guts?

I learned about Girls With Guts through the online Facebook forum for women with IBD/ostomies.

Why did you decide to volunteer with Girls With Guts?

I decided to volunteer with GWG because I wanted to give back to the IBD community, and during COVID, a remote volunteer position as a Facebook forum moderator was the perfect way!

When you are not volunteering with Girls With Guts what do you do with your time?

I am a very busy grad student, so most of my time is filled with school. In my free time I like the New York food/art/music scene, outdoor activities, running, rock climbing, yoga cooking, painting, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. I am really into holitic health – you can usually find me researching new things on a Sunday or in my kitchen juicing!
